A Life of Service to Akron
Tara Mosley Weems has dedicated her life to serving the people of Akron through public service, neighborhood advocacy, and community leadership. She served 10 years on Akron City Council representing Ward 5, championing housing protections, public safety, government transparency, and neighborhood investment.
Beyond City Hall, Tara is the Founder and Executive Director of B&V Family Community Resource House, where she has worked directly with families facing hardship — providing food, clothing, youth mentoring, housing support, and community outreach.
